A Quick Orientation of Ibiza - Ibiza, Spain
Most people arrive by air at Ibiza Airport on the southern coast of the island, from where they head to the most popular and well-known resorts including: San Antonio, situated on the island's western coast in a sheltered bay and boasting most of the island's mega clubs; Ibiza Town, known by the locals as Eivissa; and Santa Eulalia on the eastern coast.
The northern and western coasts are sparsely populated and only offer a few beach resorts, while the eastern coast has an abundance of resorts, beautiful beaches and places to stay, often only minutes walk from each other, with favourites including Playa den Bossa, Es Cana and Cala Llonga. Not far from the northern coast is the inland town of San Juan, the perfect place to begin a tour of the island's hinterland.
