A Quick Orientation of Detroit
Many of Detroit's most important and popular attractions such as the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum can be found in the Cultural Center Historic District. South of here is the city's famous theatre district and the downtown area, while to the north is the New Center district.
Southeast of the Cultural Centre Historic District is lively Bricktown, with its trendy bars and boutiques, and Greektown, home to Mediterranean-style coffee houses and restaurants. On the banks of the Detroit River is the vibrant Rivertown/Civic Centre area, home to a number of entertainment venues.
