Denver is spread out over 153 square miles, however most of the city's tourist attractions are located in the downtown centre, an area easily traversed using the city's reliable light rail system or on foot. A cluster of massive skyscrapers, chic hotels, restaurants and entertainment options, Denver's main Central Business District is located along 16th, 17th and 18th streets between Lawrence and Broadway.
Several districts give Denver its unique flair and among the most popular is the Lower Downtown area, known as LoDo. Located in the heart of downtown Denver, this is the oldest part of the city and it boasts several National Historic Landmarks as well as a thriving cultural and artistic centre with art galleries, restaurants and cafés. Larimer Square is located in LoDo, while Capitol Hill is only a short distance away. Northeast of downtown, the Five Points area that fans out from 23rd street and Broadway is comprised of four different historic neighbourhoods.
