The city of Bath is centered around the beautiful River Avon and is known for its seven surrounding hills. Much of central Bath is extremely well pedestrianised and most shops, restaurants and attractions are just a short distance from each other.
Bath features a large bus station in the city centre, where regular buses depart for many areas of the city and surrounding destinations, including Bristol, together with long-distance National Express coaches. Guided bus tours are also available here, departing throughout the day and offering 'hop on / hop off' tickets.
Nearby, the attractive Bath Spa train station is located at the far end of Manvers Street and features a many daily trains, with good connections to London Paddington and locations in the southwest.
