Baltimore's main district is the central area known as the downtown district. Contained within this area is the city centre itself, West Side, Camden Yards and Inner Harbor, where many tourist attractions are located. To the east of Inner Harbor is Fells Point; this area is significant in that it houses some of the best nightlife in the city. Fells Point is also a main source of residential property in the area.
Found by travelling northwest from Inner Harbor, the district of Mount Vernon is known for its art and cultural attractions including Walters Art Museum, Maryland Historical Society and others, while also being home to fashionable bars, restaurants and clubs. Southwest Baltimore District, shortened to SoWeBo by locals, is another fashionable area to hang out for the younger Baltimore population, especially at Union Square. You will find the B&O Railroad and Babe Ruth museums in this district.
